Player Announcements

2011
The 'Fox Cities' team repeated at the Felch Labor Day Tournament in 2011. Paul Archambault was the tournament MVP and John Hendrick was the MV-Pitcher.

2010
Many current and former Legends took 1st place in the Felch Labor Day Tournament in Felch, MI. Kevin Kangas was the pitcher of the tournament and Kevin Vandenlangenberg was the tournament MVP.

The Nichols Nitros took 1st place in the Dairyland League in 2010. There were many current and former Legends on the Nitros including: Kevin Kangas, Quintin Oldenberg, John Hendrick, Eric Krull, Justin Hallock and Kevin Vandenlangenberg. Quintin was the MVP of the championship game against Bonduel.

Drew Eichstaedt signed a contract with the Green Bay Bullfrogs to finish up the summer. Drew also lead the NEWBL with a .453 batting average this summer.

Dan Gassner has been named the varsity head baseball coach at Appleton Xavier High School. Dan was a standout pitcher for the Legends during the 2001-2004 seasons.

2009
Current Legends John Hendrick, BJ Chase, Kevin Kangas and Chris Clouthier and former Legends Justin Hallock, Adam Husing, and Paul Archambault took 2nd place while playing for Felch, MI in the Felch Labor Day Tournament. Current and former Legends Chris Erm, Mike Bunkleman, Dan Gassner, Kyle Meyer and Quentin Oldenburg also played, for the Greenville Stars.

While playing for the Nichols Nitros of the Dairyland League, current Legends John Hendrick, Quentin Oldenburg and Kevin Kangas and former Legends Eric Krull, Kevin Vandenlangenberg, and Mike Matuzak take 2nd place in the Dairyland League Grand Championship to the Bonduel Broncos.

Player Awards

2011
The 2011 NEWBL All-League team included a number of Legends again. John Hendrick (P) and Dave Salzwedel (UT) earned 1st team honors, while Luke Watson (P), Bubba Hunter (OF) and John Hendrick (OF) were all named as honorable mention.

John Hendrick was named the NBC District Tournament MV-Pitcher, joining John on the all-tournament team were Corey Richardson (OF) and Luke Watson (P).

2010
Kevin Kangas was named the 2010 NEWBL Pitcher of the Year. Drew Eichstaedt was the Rookie of the Year. John Hendrick (OF), Kangas (P) and Eichstaedt (INF) all made the NEWBL 1st Team. John Henrickson made the 2nd Team as an outfielder. Dave Salzwedel (INF), Cullen Buchanan (INF), Brett Young (DH) and John Hendrick (P) made it to the Honorable Mention Team.

Three Legends made the NBC State all-tournament team. Drew Eichstaedt made it as a DH, Kevin Kangas made it as a pitcher while John Hendrick made it as a pitcher and outfielder. John was also named the tournament MVP.

John Henrickson, Drew Eichstaedt, Brett Young and John Hendrick participated in the NEWBL vs. SEWBL all-star game in Sheboygan.

Drew Eichstaedt, Dave Salzwedel, Cullen Buchanan, Chris Clouthier and BJ Chase participated in the NEWBL vs. Military All-Stars in Green Bay.

2009
The Legends placed 4 players on the All-NEWBL teams. Frank Forseth earned honors as an Honorable Mention pitcher, while Bubba Hunter and Kyle VanAble earned Honorable Mention as an outfielder and infielder respectively. John Hendrick earned a place on the First Team as both a pitcher and outfielder.

John Hendrick was named the 2009 NEWBL MVP. John finished the year 2nd in both ERA (1.47) and batting average (.427). He tied for the league lead in doubles (10) and lead the league with 62K in 49 innings. This is John's second NEWBL MVP; the last coming in 2006.

Hunter, Miller, Kangas and Hendrick participate in NEWBL vs Southeastern Wisconsin Baseball League Game.

Erm and Hendrick make NBC Menasha District All-Tournament Team.

Organization Announcements

2011
Finishing the season as the 4 seed in the NEWBL, the Legends fell to the eventual league champ Manitowoc Bandits in the playoffs.

The Legends placed 2nd in both the NBC District Tournament and State Tournament.

2010
The Legends took 2nd place in the NEWBL in 2010, falling to the Green Bay Storm in the finals.

The Legends won the NBC State tournament for the 4th time in 2010. It was the 1st time since 2007.

The Legends started the 2010 season with a 6-4 win over Kewaskum on May 21st.
